1 Chronicles 27:32-34

New English Translation

³²Jonathan, David’s uncle, was a wise adviser and scribe;^[a]

Jehiel son of Hacmoni cared for^[b] the king’s sons.

³³Ahithophel was the king’s adviser;

Hushai the Arkite was the king’s confidant.^[c]

³⁴Ahithophel was succeeded by Jehoiada son of Benaiah and by Abiathar.

Joab was the commanding general of the king’s army.
